The House

We live here. A little bit surreal for me at least still. We went from a tiny two-bedroom apartment to a… much larger space. We’re now on ~12 acres of land, have 10 sizeable raised beds in a nice fenced-in area, an outdoor paddock where our chickens roam, a small pond, and even a hot tub (ahem a bobo hot as Mel said as a baby and now will always be the correct pronunciation)! Mel has a large playroom downstairs with a projector and Sarah’s exercise bike, I have a large kitchen space with a gas stove (and five burners *swoons*) and plenty of room to spread my mess. We have a screened-in porch for all-weather outdoor eating, an office space for Sarah to work from home, several nice built-in cabinets where we can both create altar spaces and so many windows.

Upstairs we have a gorgeous master bedroom with a tub that I can actually fit into(Drew is 6’1), a spacious bedroom for our daughter, a linen closet about the size of my bedroom growing up, and even an extra bedroom for when either of our folks come visit. There’s a garage with a small apartment above it where Sarah’s brother will be moving in with us for an odd year or two. Central air conditioning for the summer months where it can get sweltering, and a cozy wood-burning stove for the chilly winter months. It’s our refugee in the woods and the home Sarah and I are going to live in for the next 30+ years.
